The Tall and the Short of It, sketch

It is a nice quiet morning so we had coffee and I sketched on the porch.  It will be in the mid 90s today, so taking advantage of the sort of cool morning, about 80 degrees F.

For Scavenger Hunt 588  http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1466184

Numbers 3 and 4 ... tall and short.

I sketched in the big book with the Prismacolor 03 fine line marker/pen.   The bottle has a raised number one that looks sort of pewter or bronze and copperish/goldish letters on a green bottle.  The canned wine we got at Mod Pizza in Austin.  The can is black with white letters and a red door on the house.  We drank one can.  It was pretty good.  I hadn't seen canned wine around here.  We drink a lot of wine usually, can't believe there is wine in that bottle. The wine in the bottle we got at 602 on Main, I think on Mother's Day so it is probably not good.

Raymond Keyrouz is running the 602 on Main.  He is a great chef and I'm sure the restaurant will get better and better.  It is a Brew Pub.  He makes great steaks and also has his cream of crawfish chowder, soooooo good.  All his food is good.  https://www.the602onmain.net/ .  There is also a facebook page with more info about menu and photos. He has a chicken fried rib eye with green chile gravy.  Haven't tried that yet.

hmuxo, talking food makes me hungry, too. I like eating the models for sketching and still life! Thanks.

Joan, it is strange to see wine in a can. We saw it years ago in South America then never saw it again until now. We had forgotten about it.

Canned wine. People laugh at us because we buy boxed wine. I like to drink hard cider. My favorite brand comes in a can. Well, we had some in France that was in a bottle - like wine. Us Okies like cans and boxes.

Bag Blog, we have been drinking boxed wine for years. Much of it comes from Chile and there is no better wine in our books. The Francia Cabernet Sauvignon is from Chile. The biggest plus of the boxes is you don't have to drink it all at once. It keeps for a few weeks. Makes sense to drink it.

Gene saw canned wine in South America back in the 70s. Probably from Argentina. They have good wine, too.

Boxes can be extra luggage, too. Ha.
