It is a beautiful day here. I went out to sketch on the porch and have coffee and my rice cake. Perfect for scavenging for Hunt 552. http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1451922
The big book was appealing for sketching the house and landscape with the Zig Millennium 05 pens. The pens have a nice smooth feel to them. It was about a 45 minute sketch, even though it felt quicker.
Number 1, house
Number 2, landscape
Number 3, rock - the other big rock by the driveway. You could damage the car if you hit one of these. I think this is about 2 feet tall and 6 feet or more in length. It is one rock. I used the app, ArtRage, which I am not used to, so it took almost an hour and I could not get the text to write. Too many settings for a quick sketch.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

I saw a video on FB of a home in Angel Fire where a bear was walking the railing around a big porch - drinking all the hummingbird feeders. The porch/house looked a lot like yours. Ha! Beware the bears - they may like rice cakes!
I love the sketch of the house Jo. Sketching is something everyone should do. Unfortunately, I don't but should. You're inspiring me to get the sketch pad out....lol. Enjoy this beautiful day!!!!
Ha, Lou! Hadn't seen that one. There is one of a bear in the Resort Hotel a few years ago, trying to get a reservation. Sadly we haven't put up hummer feeders this year and no sightings of bears. Only elk and hummers and a few other birds, squirrels, etc.
hmuxo, thanks so much. Sketching is good for your "eye" in painting. I wasn't painting much so the sketching is like homework.
it is a nice digital sketch tho :) the farmers and council have put rocks like that in fields and driveways to parks to try to get the travellers to stop parking in those spots, they just move them lol
Jennifer Rose, these are there to mark the drive, there is a ditch to either side. These are a bit big for moving, but they do that here as well.
