The event, Exit Wounds, is April April 6 and 7 at the Long Center. It is about courage. Stephen Mills, Artistic Director, dedicates this work to his mom who passed away some time ago. We saw three of the dances. The music was beautiful with a sad and haunting sound. Put together with the music and graceful expressive dancers it was really nice. https://balletaustin.org/

I felt like some color in my morning and got out the pastels. Well they are out already. I leave them ready to go. That is a wonderful thing about having the studio. I should keep my workspace decluttered, I might be more inspired. My worktable is a magnet for anything with no place else to go. I regress....

Hi Jo, Always enjoy visiting with you! Loved reading about the ballet! Wish I could see "Exit Wounds". Coming here is always an inspiration. One minute you make me want to grab the sketch pad and the next, drag out the pastels! Sketching on the i-phone? I have only a 5s and too small to sketch. What a great job you do!! I do have apps on the i-Pad but have not used them. My bad! Well, as usual stayed to long. Really enjoyed visiting Austin with you! So much to see!

Rosemary, I started sketching on Gene's first iPhone, but have used the iPad more since I got that. This bigger phone is better than the old ones .. spacewise. They change the apps and I go so long between that I have to learn all over again. Heh, heh. My excuse anyway.
It has been a while since I have seen ballet. Years ago, Jesse and I went to see Tulsa Ballet put on Cinderella. It was funny - in lots of ways.
I spend lots of time decluttering my work space so that I can get to the space. It is a deterrent. Sometimes I put things away and can't find them when I need them and spend lots of time looking - another deterrent. Sometimes I find things that I lost - Yay!
Bag Blog, ballet was never in our world. The dancers are in amazing shape and beautiful to see. I understand it takes a great toll on the body and feet. There were dance lessons offered in Magdalena when I was a kid. I think I went to tap class and ended up in the ceramics painting class.
