Back in the Pastel Dust...

Sketching for the Hunts and the Southwest Forum brought me back to pastels.  Pastels are my favorite medium to paint with.

I am hosting the January Challenge in the Southwest Forum which means I posted the photos.  I should also paint, right?  I chose the Taos Pueblo photo and cropped down and took a little artist license with it.  It is fun to see what the other artists have painted and sketched.  Have a look here:

Pastel on Pastelbord, 8 x 10 inches

I sketched yesterday afternoon for  Scavenger Hunt 528

Number 1, banana or other fruit - pastel on Canson MiTeintes paper grid side.

You may find an optical problem in the composition.  Luckily this is a sketch and not a painting.  Comment if you see it!  Made me laugh.  Joanna saw it first or at least was the first to point it out.

Joan, thank you so much. I do hope you are inspired. Something different for you! Don't know when you would have time. Ha.

Thank you, I really like to visit the Taos Pueblo and love the high desert.
