Joanna called on Thursday night to ask if it was snowing. It was! Huge wet flakes, bigger than most. So out come the cameras.
What a sight!
We expected it to be gone by morning but we awakened to another surprise.
Panorama of the back yard.
East lake.
Toward west lake, barely see it and bridge.
Same
Out front, with the fence Gene is working on.
Panorama again with the sun peeking out.
Later in mid afternoon.
And this morning.
It is supposed to get up to 62 degrees today, already almost 50 a5 9:45 a.m. Isn't that a perfect winter? Jackets, snow photos, some snowmen, snow balls and snow angels. Then sunshine and t-shirts. I love it!
I took many more photos, but I will leave it at that. The melting snow dripped off the trees and roof all day. There was .47 inches in the rain guage.
I think I might put up the Christmas tree tomorrow. : )

Love the snow scenes down there. My friends in San Antonio sent a photo of their kids waiting for the school bus in the morning standing next to a snowman on their front lawn. lol We had snow today too. It made a messy day for my art group's exhibit and sale. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow so more shoppers can come.
the lake snow scene looks like a postcard :)
The snow was pretty in all the photos I saw on FB. What fun!
In the 2004 movie "The Alamo" it says that the Mexican army was slow getting to the Alamo because of snow. Really? In March? In South Texas? If they had trouble with snow, it was probably because they had never seen it before. Probably had to stop and play in it.
Joan, you get so much snow, I can't imagine. This was so pretty, could have been in New Mexico or Colorado. Thanks.
Somehow I missed posting your comment Bag Blog. The Mexicans must have run into a copy of our snow day. Interesting.
Thanks for the comment.
Jennifer Rose, I posted yours and didn't answer. Too excited I guess. Thanks.
