Hunting Bottles

The large sketchbook was the place to sketch a couple for the end of Scavenger Hunt 485
http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1422032

A Micron 08 has a very large nib, more appropriate for larger sketches - a whole page for one item maybe?  These were very quickly done, freehand.

Number 10, comes in a bottle - some Pisco from Peru.  We like to drink pisco sours once in a while.  Lime juice, pisco, egg whites and simple syrup or sugar over ice.  The blending or whipping makes the egg whites foam and then you sprinkle a bit of bitters on top.  So good going down but pretty potent if you make them right!
Number 11, large and number 12, small - Club soda and Canada Dry ginger ale in plastic bottles.  I like Canada Dry ginger ale as it is made with real ginger, good for your tummy.

It was rainy and we woke up to mist on the lakes yesterday morning with a touch of fog.  The wet makes color so intense.
A puddle and the pile of branches and pine needles.  You can see one of the new bridges well, too.

You can see the many, many pine cones growing.  We will have soooo much yellow pollen in the next month or so.  Sigh....

You see a bit of the haze in this photo and some doves on the bird feeder poles.  Or are they brunch for Roger?  He would love that!

Even when I don't paint, I am always trying to learn ways to improve my work.  Karen Margulis has an abundance of info on her blog and shares with us.  She paints every day and many, many paintings.  I first saw her on wetcanvas and she has really done the work to be a professional artist.  Here is a link to get you started if you haven't followed her.  She tries new paper, new ideas and more.  She teaches so has good ideas for classes, too.

Another artist that is very inspiring to me is John Weiss.  He was a policeman and I first saw his cartoons.  Now he is a regular contributor to Fine Art Studio Online (FASO).  He writes very well.  This article is about comparison.  I think we all do that and it can be very demoralizing if you don't watch out!

Another artist with good advice on FASO with some great learning links and scholarship info, for adults and students  in this article:

I hope you are painting furiously and these links help inspire you!

Those were some good articles. Thanks.

Jennifer Rose, Canada dry is hard to find here and harder in New Mexico. Not sure why, it is the best. I didn't like it as a kid, but do now.

Bag Blog, those are good, I thought you might like the links to classes, scholarships, etc., for your classes.

Thanks for getting me back on your list, does this mean they will automatically come to me and I no longer have to go hunting?

Gene, you are so clever! See you in the comments! Hugs.
