I'm hosting Scavenger Hunt 486.

I think I have filled about .1 pages of the huge sketchbook. At this rate it will be about 10 years to finish, right? Maybe I should write some stories in it as well. I sketched this on a half page, left side. Hard to sketch on the bottom with no where to rest your hand. I started with a new Micron 01.
Number 1, computer bag
Number 2, margarita glass - Subbed a martini glass
Yesterday, February 22, was National Margarita Day and the first day of this Hunt. That was the reason for having a margarita glass on the Hunt. Sadly, no sketch or margarita yesterday. Good intensions, right? So we will go to town today for groceries and a late lunch and I will have a margarita a day late!
Gene is "famous" for his margaritas. Here is a photo from a few years ago. This was taken before the cabinets were full and we were using plastic glasses.
And, another view of the pre-pinecone blooms. Each of the pods is a possible pine cone and each of the little pore thingys spews out pollen! The one good thing is that the pollen doesn't seem to cause allergies, just gets all over EVERYTHING!
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Yum, Gene's margaritas look excellente!
The pollen has been bad here, apparently from cedar trees. For some reason, it does not bother me. My allergies have more to do with grass and dust.
Bag Blog, I missed margarita day but had a good one yesterday at Guadalajara Restaurant. They come in beer mugs!
I haven't had nearly as many allergies here as in New Mexico so I'm thinking dust, too.
I've never had a margarita, no idea what is even in one lol
maybe stick interesting articles or other artist's work in the big book of doom?
Those pods look like they will shoot right at you. lol I could use a margarita...but I don't have the ingredients. I should have thought of that when we went out for lunch yesterday. Ole`!
Jennifer Rose, Awww, you need some tequila, lime/lemon juice, simple syrup all blended with ice in a glass with salted rim. Yummy, sort of potent lemonade! Some put Triple Sec or other liquors in it. We go simple.
Joan, Thanks. The one we had in San Antonio was pretty good. Some places use a mix and the pretend lime just doesn't cut it for me. Ha.
