I sketched in the travel sketchbook on my walk. I used a Micron 05 and sketched very quickly. I wanted to find a landscape with no houses or no water, hard on the walk around the lake, but found this low spot by a bridge.

Number 1, landscape
Today I sketched in the large sketchbook while out on the porch using the Micron 005.
Number 2, open & Number 3, closed - a porcelain box about 6 or 7 inches square. I forgot to sketch the lid leaned against it on open. Sigh...
Number 4, hand
I don't know if you noticed that Susan Carlin commented on my blog the other day. I have always admired Susan's portrait painting ability. She catches a likeness in 30 seconds. She took the 30 paintings in 30 days for January. She painted most of them live on UStream. She painted some still life paintings, too. I think all of the challenge were painted in oils, but she does beautiful pastels, too. Be sure and have a look at her blog and roam on to her page and her Whistle Stop Studio where she has classes and workshops. An amazing artist! She is full of energy and very inspiring.

The Bastrop Fine Arts Guild, now known as Lost Pines Art League is doing some new and fun things in the new Art Center. Here is a link to the newsletter. If by chance it goes away you can visit their website.

I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

I need some of that energy to paint every day.
Your hand is opened and closed. :-)
Bag Blog, it is inspiring when they do that. Joan Tavolott that comments here did the challenge in watercolor and did a pet a day.
Joanna, I did not notice my hand! Interesting observation.
Well, I'll be darned! Thank you for your VERY kind words, Jo! Shuckins....
Hey, Susan. I should have said a very nice person and friend, too!
really great hands :D
Thanks, Jennifer Rose. I drew the open hand first and it is so gnarly. Didn't look much like my hand. I don't have arthritis so I drew it again closed. Ha.
