Hunting Christmas Sketches

Our Scavenger Hunt 478 list has many Christmas suggestions.  I thought I would do a page in the big book.  I used the regular Micron 01 and added some colored pencil.  I was probably sketching for 40 minutes or so.

Number 1, cone - New, old angel for the tree.  It is tin and old but fun as I usually have a hard time finding a cone shape here.
Number 2, jingle bell - I have a string of about 30 that hang on the door
Number 3, Santa thing - an old metal (looks old) Texasy ornament
Number 4, green - a satin box ornament with sequins and beads on top.

I finally got the tree up yesterday evening.

Even have the few presents wrapped.  We cut down giving to each other, drew names,  and sponsored a foster family.

A Texas Santa shared from KXAN, Austin TV station. (Thanks, Jennie.)

And for your listening Sleigh Ride by Butler School of Music. Brass quintet.  (Thanks, Joanna.)

We are going to Baxters on Main this evening for some wine and dinner with the other Jo.  (Jo Watts, potter, she has a shared studio in the new art center.)

I'm slowly getting in the spirit of the season.  Really....

Sponsoring a foster family is a great idea, and goes well with the thought behind the season :D

That is a great tree! I'm quite proud of myself for getting up the Christmas decorations fairly early this year. Now if I can just get them down by Feb.
