Is anyone else busy in this season? We don't do nearly as much as we used to so I should not feel any pressure. I used to decorate so much, Gene decorated outside and I drew each card with pen and ink. Now it is mostly e-mail notes and phone calls. Gene tries to call everyone on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
At any rate, I managed a sketch for Scavenger Hunt 477

Number 3, Holiday item - a Christmas card we received (Thanks, Regina and Larry)
Number 4, Needs sunshine - pine tree branch, a few cones are still hanging on!
We had the TV on Christmas music. It is on in the background and all of a sudden Gene says, "I can't stand this music, I want old time carols." Some rocky Rudolph thing was playing. I said, "There has been old songs playing you just noticed this one, wait till the next one." Sure enough a Bing Crosby song came on. Not a carol, but old. So he didn't turn it off. Now I am tired of it, so off it goes.
The card reminded me of Bag Blog's (friend Lou's) painting class. They did snowmen. Have a look:

Wish I could have been there, looks like fun!
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Ooh! Thanks for the link! You know I love Christmas music, but I am picky about it. I like the old stuff, too. Some of the new stuff is okay, but it often obnoxious.
I like your snowman. You should do more hand-drawn cards :)
The snowmen on the link are just so cute!!! I love Christmas music. Jerry puts away all the other CDs. We have so many Christmas CDs that it takes days to hear them all. I had them playing while I was working on my cards, my tiles, my tree, and every night while we eat dinner. Of course I love the classic best like Bing and Nat...but there are so many I love.
Bag Blog, Ha. Thanks. I may draw cards next year. I did calendars again this year and muy expensive with no art sales!
Joan, thank you. Easy to draw when I am copying! Ha. Gene leaves Christmas music on his iTunes all year long. I usually listen in the season only, but love it. We always have it playing when we are cooking our New Mexico dishes for Christmas.
busy but not with Xmas stuff, trying to learn for uni lol
I can take Xmas music in small amounts, but from having to listen to it working in fast food places for 8 hours a day, the day after Halloween until the 25th, after awhile it can get on my nerves lol
Jennifer Rose, I have sympathy for you! Thanks for the note, Merry Christmas!
