Plein air in Pastel

We have had fun and been busy!  Surprise!

We went to Niagara Falls fo a couple of days.  Gene, Jennie and Larry did the boats, walked under the falls and a walk along the edge of the river.  I walked and sketched.  I'm not a boat or heights person.  It was a good time.  Gene and I had been there before.  It was a first for Jennie and Larry.

The place has turned into Las Vegas!  Casinos, lights and people everywhere.  Amazing.

Larry helped drive.  Everyone was sleepy with the time change and late hours.

We left Niagara Falls and came back to Michigan to visit with our friend, Sue.  Jennie and Larry flew back to Texas yesterday.

Gene rode his TerraTrike andSue and I painted the bridge at the start of the trail.  It was another good day.

Columbiaville Trail, pastel, 9 x 12.  The colors are not good.  The bridge was old wood fence like with white metal support. It looked sort of orange and the bike helmets are bright red and pink.  At any rate, I painted!

I have sketched a bit but I'm not going to post, we will go from now..... :-)

Niagara is fun. Toby and I did the walk but not the boats. Then we went on to Niagara On the Lake, Ontario for wine tasting and bike riding. Gene would love it.

nice water in your pastel :)

Niagara Falls is one of my favourite places, never been to Vegas so it works for me lol Would love to go back again, maybe after uni is done :) Its worth spending even a few hours there I tell people just to see the falls if that is all they do :)

Bag Blog, we saw all the wineries from the road. Maybe next time we will tour them. I'm sure it would be perfect for Gene, you are right.

Joan, the Falls are amazing. You will love them. Be sure and take your passports so you can visit the Canadian side, too.

I agree with you, Jennifer Rose. I hope you get to go again.
