Blind Contour Sketches

A challenge for Scavenger Hunt 454 was to do at least two items with blind contour drawing.  This means to look at the object and draw without looking at the paper.  I decided to do it in a small sketchbook I use for doodling so as not to "muss up" the big sketchbook.  So the sketches were quick and small.  I used a Pilot ball point pen.

After the few minutes of sketching I thought I should scan the notebook since it fits on the scanner.  After about 30 minutes of starting, restarting, and resetting the scanner, the computer and the wi-fi, I just decided to take a photo.  So you get a bad photo ... sigh.  AWoT (A waste of time)

Number 8, scissors
Number 9, tape dispenser ( I did a smaller version of the dispenser while looking at it.  Obviously, I know more about scissors.)

And Happy Flag Day to our grand old flag and Happy Birthday to the U.S. Army as well!!

I made my students do some blind contour drawings. They didn't get it. But still, it is good practice for the eye.
