As you know, I don't sketch much on the Southwest Forum on wetcanvas.com. http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?p=20685859#post20685859 I usually post paintings there, which I don't have at the moment. At least not new ones. I sketched from photos that are posted in the Challenge this time by Ron Swearingen. http://ronsart-wyo.blogspot.com/
This is a quick sketch from a photo, no broncos in my world at the moment! I used a Micron 03 in the large sketchbook. Maybe fifteen minutes??? It is about 8 x 10 inches. The cowboy had long hair. I should have sketched him with short hair and a hat flying away. Oh well, another time.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Your bronco is exellente! It shows real drawing ability.
All semster I harped on my students to draw what they saw and to use relationships within the drawing. We were required to give a final, although lots of kids were exempt. So, made copies of a face (black and white) cut the face down the middle, and had the kids draw half the face - the face with the most value and shading. Some did well. Others, well, I felt a failure as a teacher. Then my really good art student said, "You are not a failure. Those kids just think they can't draw, so they don't try." I know that is true. They don't even really look at what they are drawing. We will go at it again next semester. I will not worry about it for the next two weeks.
great action sketch :D
Bag Blog, thank you!! I'm not too bad at copying!
I saw an article about anyone can draw, I will try to remember and get it to you. Have a super Christmas and enjoy your holidays. Hugs from here!!
Jennifer Rose, thank you and you have a great Christmas and holiday season.
Ride 'em cowboy!!! Good sketch. I can feel the action.
Hi Joan! Thank you. I need your practice at drawing the "people" part. :)
Wow. I like this! Fun sketch, Mom.
Joanna, thank you. It was good to do something different.
