I sketched in the travel sketchbook with the Micron 05 pen/marker. I put in only a few minutes on each sketch.
These are for Scavenger Hunt 419. http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1386792
Number 1, light bulb - in a lamp without the shade
Number 2, heavy - the awkward heavy kitchen chairs here. They take up so much room and lean back. Not easy to eat leaning back. Ha.
Number 3, noisy - my rendition of the magpies. The are really kind of pretty with blue/black and white feathers. Pests, though, like crows.
Number 4, likes soil - the trees and grass
Number 5, organic - rocks, grass and small logs
We have been lazy since our company left. We even watched TV earlier today which we haven't done much because we can't pause, rewind or record. That makes watching TV long and boring watching commercials.
We haven't been out and about so none of my photos either. I will put a couple of snapshots that Larry http://larrycastillophotography.com/ took while he was here.
One of the hummers with Larry's auto camera.
If you are in Bastrop or plan to be in the area check out the First Friday Art Walk downtown at galleries and businesses. Art Connections Gallery is where my pastel paintings are available:

Don't forget the Artist Conference, too. It is an amazing event with many classes, demos, vendors and more for adults and kids. http://www.lostpinesregionalartsconference.com/

you've been pretty busy lately, more than entitled to be lazy for a few days :)
more great sketches :) those chairs look a but uncomfortable with there wavy backs
some nice Hummingbird photos from Larry, not easy to get photos of them
Jennifer Rose, I always need excuses to be lazy!!
The chairs are not good.
The one camera Larry used has motion sensor but it took photos when the feeder moved, so he resulted to the one that shoots about 5 shots a second.
Good sketches and photos of the birds!! One of my art groups will be painting at a Hummingbird Farm soon...sounds interesting. Have a great Labor Day Weekend.
Joan, thanks. That sounds like a great place to paint! We have music tonight then not much. Company again on Tuesday.
Great photos, Jo and sketches too! Glad you are enjoying your time there.
Regina, thanks so much. It has been good this summer. I will be happy to get back to our "house" though. It fits us much better. Ha. Three bedrooms here but no place to leave my art stuff out. I see though, that it will be 99 in Bastrop about Wednesday. Yikes!
