Last Sketch ... for 406

I sketched for Scavenger Hunt 406.  I didn't get many done this time.  I liked putting watercolor on my ink drawings for the challenge.  I sketched freehand in the large sketchbook with a Micron 03.

Number 6, coiled - the tie string on my art apron
Number 7, petals - the petals on a dandelion, they have grown so thick and will not be mowed for a while, it is just too wet.

I am hosting Scavenger Hunt 407, http://goo.gl/nqdOxt  come on over and sketch with us.  I made a lazy man's list.  We have to come up with 26 everyday items in our area.  I just go alphebetical and you get 26 automatically.

Our full lake on the east side with the fire station across the way.  The first time the lakes have been full since we have lived here.

An amazing artist, Steve Hanks, passed away recently.  He was very talented and very young..... sad.

Steve Hanks was great!

Could have picknicked today, a bit warm, but no rain. May get a little tonight again.

I had seen some of Steve Hanks works. He was amazing.

Our pond is full and over-running the spill way. It rained all night last night. Today it is warm and muggy with more chances of rain. Waurika Lake, which is where Duncan and several other communities get their water, was way down. It is 100% full now. It is hard to get your mind rapped around that.

Bag Blog, yes it is hard to realize all the rain. You must get more this a.m. as I see it is raining big time in Dallas for the Longhorn baseball tournament! Our lakes are full as well and a little gurgling stream from one to the other. Nice.

So much havoc around though. Even though we haven't had flooding you can see the new pot holes, etc. I feel so sorry for the families that have missing folks and lost homes.

It's hard to believe your lakes have so much water in them, Mom!

Joanna, the lakes look great. As you know the fullest since we arrived.
