Happy Birthday, Christy! Sketching Blue

Happy Birthday Christy!

Christy is our favorite granddaughter!  It is hard to believe that she is grown up and married.  Seems like only yesterday she was playing in the mud at our old house.  She is working and going to college, too.

We finally have sunshine!  So the day is not blue.  It is very cold and windy though.

I sketched on my iPad with Brushes and my fingers.  I spent about an hour on this which is way more than I should on a sketch.  I didn't use too many "Undo"s but still, it is more of a drawing.

For Scavenger Hunt 396, number 5, something blue
I sketched a cup that Jesse, Bag Blog's daughter, made for me.  It is mostly blue.  The lid keeps my coffee warm for a bit longer.

We have sunshine too! It is cold, but the snow is melting fast. Jesse's school took another snow day. I talked to her a bit this morning on the phone. She texts me pictures of her students' art work and we discuss the assignments. They do grow up fast.

Happy Birthday to Christy Gene.

Bag Blog, thank you so much. Wow, it is hard when they grow. I bet you hadn't thought about discussing students with Jesse, or did she always want to teach?

She didn't always want to teach. She didn't always want to do art. I forced the art on her :) But she was good at it and enjoyed it. When she went back to college, she wanted to study art. Then she picked up the teaching, because she needed something to fill up her schedule. She always said teaching would be a good job to have so she could travel in the summers.

Bag Blog, sounds like a good plan! She will keep up her art, too, I bet. :)
