I sketched with the Prismacolor Premier 03 in the large sketchbook. I would imagine about 10 - 15 minutes each.
Number 5, open - the door from the porch into the dining area.
Number 6, something in a box - Gene's clock he uses for exercise. He left it in the box so it is easy to put away and handle it.
Number 7, made of fabric - my pants leg. You can see my legs are crossed, feet up and comfortable.
I have been working on some pastel paintings. I started several and have been adding and refining a bit here and there. Hopefully I can get you some photos this week .... and get them framed. One is to replace a painting I sold and was lost in the big fires. The others are bluebonnets and pear cactus blooms. They are coming along.
Monte Verde Lake Path
Pastel, 8 x 9 inches
Mora Stop
Pastel, 8 x 9 inches
The two small paintings above are in the New Mexico mountains. I'm posting them here to get me motivated to pack up my gear and get ready to go there. They are both framed in metal frames and are $145.00 each, free shipping. You can buy them on my page under "Available Paintings" with a credit card or PayPal. http://www.jocastilloart.com/avpaintings.html If you would like to pay by check, send me an e-mail, jo@jocastilloart.com

It is good to see you painting - an encouragement to me. I'm still recovering from this vacation. And maybe a bit depressed that I lost my photos - so many possible paintings down the drain.
I like both paintings. Go, Mom!
Bag Blog, I'm with you on the photos. It is depressing. I often think of something I might paint and then, "Oops, no photo of that!" There is someplace on line, like "lost camera" or some such where cameras and/or photos have been recovered. Wouldn't hurt to check. Whoever "bought" the cameras may save the photos. Not likely, I know.
Joanna, thank you. I'm hoping to get excited for the summer. I ordered lots of stuff (art supplies) and Sue will be there the weekend after we arrive to push me for our marathon of painting!
I went to several lost camera websites, but nothing so far.
Bag Blog, that is good. I had not heard of such sites until a short time ago. I hope it works. Maybe we shall both go again sometime to renew our photos. Ha.
Every once in a while I miss the ones of our kids growing up in Bolivia, Peru and Chile. Sigh.......
