Happy Birthday, Papi Jim!

Today is Papi Jim's birthday. I have known him since 1974.  Gene met him in 1973 in Bolivia.  His home was next door in La Paz.  He is such a good friend.  He was very instrumental in bringing Jennie and Larry into our lives.  He is semi retired in Canada now and we have seen him several times there.  He visited us in Lima and in Lubbock as I recall.  He is such a warm and positive person and brings joy into many lives.  We talked on the phone today, I wish we had been able to celebrate with him in person.

This photo was taken last September in Canada.

Here are some blog posts I wrote about out time with Papi Jim and Papi Nino in Bolivia.

Papi Jim, Larry and I in La Paz for Larry's birthday.  He is Larry James named after Papi Jim.  We have shared a good bit of wine together, too.

Happy Birthday, Papi Jim.............

Happy Birthday to Papi Jim! I have heard stories on him.

I told some of those stories to the young couple who is going to Peru with us on vacation (Shay and Lindz). They have not been able to have babies - Shay is wondering if he can bring home a baby from Peru. Of course, he is just teasing, and yet, not.

Bag Blog, thanks. As you may remember we gave away all baby stuff when we went to Bolivia. We were hooked and had to start collecting baby beds, chairs, etc., all over again!

Wishing Shay and Lindz the best. :)

Joanna, it was a good think that David had some photos and Christy was good to send them to us!
