Sketching Eggs, Hunt 344

Eggs are on the list for Scavenger Hunt 344.  As host, (see previous post for the list and info) I thought that eggs would be an easy start for the Hunt and I liked the idea of sketching in pastel.  Pastelbord is my favorite surface to make for easy framing.  After getting started, it seems that a finished painting would be nice.

For the Hunt, here is the start of the painting as a sketch.  I will make corrections and then finish it.

Number 1, eggs - a few in a carton.

Come back soon to see the finished painting.  Oh, and come sketch with us!

Thanks, Joanna. Regina is always trying to get me to paint food! They say artists should paint what they love! 'Course eggs are not a favorite of mine. Ha.

Isn't it great how simple everyday objects can make such nice paintings. Great job, Jo!
