December First Friday Art Walk

I would like to invite you to the:

First Friday Art Walk
Historic Downtown Bastrop, Texas
Friday, December 6
5:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Desert Snow
Pastel, 12 x 16 inches
I will be exhibiting this new painting and other original work at Baxters on Main,  919 Main Street.  I will have a few gifts for sale.  You can sign up for my door prize.  Please come by and peruse my new work and do some Christmas Shopping.

You can plan on having dinner there.  Baxters offers fine dining in a historic building with 1920’s decor.  Hand cut Cerified Angus beef steaks, fresh seafood, house-made desserts and an extensive wine list.  We had lunch there a week or so ago.  We had the sea bass which was outstanding.

There are many things going on that evening.  The Art Connections Gallery, 908 Main St, where I have paintings exhibited, is open with music, food and meet the artist of the month. Artmakers Collective at 1022 Main St. has a variety of artists and media with a featured artist.  The Bastrop Fine Arts Guild Gallery, 815 Main St. has a featured artist and a collection of local artists and media.  December is a group show featuring items under $100 with small paintings as a highlight.

The First United Methodist Church of Bastrop, 1201 Main Street, offers PARENTS NIGHT OUT child care from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for First Friday Art Walk.  Infant through 5th grade.  Cost $15 for the first child and $5 for each additional sibling.  Call 512 321-2201 to reserve your space.Reservations required.

There are many stores and restaurants featuring artists, shopping, good food and live music.    Come to downtown Bastrop for First Friday and stop by and visit a bit.
