I turned on my iTunes yesterday morning to add some music and realized I hadn't put any of
Jean Synodinos' songs in my "favorites". Synodinos is a great entertainer, check her out. She performs in Austin quite often. Going through her songs I found "Five Things to do Today".
Her list at the first of the song:
- Make a list
- Do the list
- Look at yesterday's list
- Go to the store
- Arrive, arrive, arrive ..
The song gets into an explanation and goes on to say something about her youngest says "those deer won't shoot themselves!"
It made me smile as I never make lists, could be why I never get anything done.....
On our recent trip we stopped off at Sue Modrak's in Michigan. It is always fun to get together. Gene and Wally, her late husband, were great friends, too. It is nice to talk over old times. Sue and I painted. You have read about
our painting marathons when she visits here. So even with just one afternoon to get out the easels, we had fun.

We will trade paintings. Above is painting and below is the start of Sue's painting. I worked in pastels and she worked in oils.
Here is our helper, Spencer, and the set up as we started working on it. Sue fixed fajitas for dinner and we had a bit of wine, of course. What a great day!

I make a mean fajita - maybe I will make supper when we get together.
Thanks, Bag Blog. Sounds good! I never think of cooking when we are traveling. Ha.
Both of these are lovely. Art is so enjoyable when shared with a friend!
Thanks, Joan. It is great to have painting buddies. I hope we get to sketch one of these days.
Fun painting. And, it's great you got to paint and visit with Sue.
Also, I really like that song. Jean is fun. :-)
Joanna, thank you. And thanks for introducing Jean's music into my world. Hugs.
