Sketching, It's About Time

No, we didn’t fall off the ends of the earth.  We took a trip back east.  Such a great time and visited with some wonderful folks.  It would take a book to write about it all.  Maybe a story at a time will follow....

I did some sketches on the iPad last evening to try to get my inspiration in gear.  I’m not sure why I still don’t have much gumption for art or well anything for that matter.  So here goes trying to get the old body up an running.  David, son, gave me a nice stylus for my iPad and iPhone.  It is either in Gene’s backpack or I left it at David’s in Kentucky.  Sigh....

Therefore, these sketches are on the iPad with the Brushes App and my fingers.  I try to do them with as few “undo” clicks as possible to keep them in the sketch category.  Brushes has a neat feature to replay a video of your painting.  I don’t see anyway to use that feature anywhere else, like to post it here.

These are for Scavenger Hunt 306.  I thought I had better get with it because I am the host for the next hunt starting tomorrow.  I need to post the list late tonight for the artists on the other side of the world for their tomorrow.

Number 1, laces.  My now everyday shoes, so you should see them in more sketches.

Number 2, pink.  I love these crosswords.  Hard to do, but very relaxing.  I just finished one of these books and have done about 3 or 4 in this one.  I don’t think I have ever done one without looking up or looking at the answers.  Still fun for me.

We had a surprise bunch of bluebonnets near the driveway when we got back.  Very cool.

Last night we had some much needed rain which came with hail about 3:00 a.m.  We had .6 of an inch in the rain gauge and I assume some of the hail was too big to fit in the gauge.  Ha.  The hail lasted about three minutes and was about the size of  a quarter.  The bluebonnets survived and so did a bit of the hail still on the ground about 1030 a.m. today.

Isn't it good to be home and sleeping in your own bed?! I love crosswords, but I have to cheat now and then.

The bed isn't too important as we sleep in so many. I just like being in my "space" where I can sit where I want and put up my feet. I stay up way too late, though, when home. You should feel good, too.
