Bill Little writes commentary for the Texas Longhorns. The football team won four games and then lost two. One loss in the last seconds by three points and one in agony by about 40 points. He wrote a great essay that can certainly apply to all of us and not just football players. It is titled,
"It is not where you have been, but where you will go - folks are waiting for you down the road.", and starts off with a story about his dad and his mail route.
He mentions that the Postal system was so reliable. Well, actually it still is as they still have to deliver to every house at the end of the road and see if there is anything to pick up ... every house or mail box. Amazing that it is true today, too.

What encouraging, motivating observations, Jo. Wish we lived nearer each other, as I am sure I would enjoy a real live conversation with you. Also, congratulations on the paintings you have and will have in exhibits!
My students usually get frustrated about halfway through an art piece. I make them work through it to the end. Sometimes it works out. Sometimes not.
As for the general "where am I going with my art," I probably need to make some decisions. Thanks for the encouragement.

Bag Blog, your classes always sound so interesting. You are an inspiration. As for decisions about our painting, it is hard. We need to follow Maggie's advice and set some goals both short term and long term. She says that helps with the decisions! See ya....
