Sketches Last of Hunt 267

Happy Mother's Day to all you moms!

I thought yesterday was Friday all day and forgot to go to breakfast with Susan.  Luckily she called to say the restaurant where we were to meet was closed for a private party.  I made it to our second choice, the Deli Depot.  It was a good breakfast and quiet so we got to visit.  I'm glad to have friends that understand my old-timers disease.  Heh, heh.

I am using my iCal from computer to iPhone to iPad, but I still forget.  I do much better with all the reminders, though.  I just had the wrong day in my head, sigh.....

I also forgot it was our grand-dogs sixth birthday yesterday, too.  Guess that wasn't as urgent because he surely doesn't know.  He will be here today, so I can tell him in person.

I snatched his birthday photo from Jen's page.

I sketched outside for my first sketches, then on the porch.  We are having the porch by the dining area screened in.  It lacks a few touches, but is usable for today.  It will be great to have a mosquito free environment.

I sketched in the brown paper sketchbook with the Prismacolor Premier 08 pen and added some colored pencils to a couple.

Number4, yard art - the Bolivian pots rescued from the fire and a turtle that is a sprinkler that was buried in the flower bed here.  It weighs about 5 pounds and is metal.

Number 5, fence - the corner of the yard toward the lake.

Number 6, cup and the challenge to hold it in my hand.  I posted this on the Scavenger Hunt 267 without the color.  I added the colored pencil when I did the flowers below so posted it to the Hunt again.  The white is not that "loud" in person.  It is actually a flesh pink.

Number 7, which is actually 8 because I didn't count my hand - flower.  A couple of wildflowers from the yard.  The Indian blankets have wider sort of boxy petals usually.  I guess this one had grown up under stress and wind.

For my artist link today, go have a look at Larry Castillo's website.  He is doing some new fun stuff with sports photos.  He is the caboose in our family.

I like the color too. A lot of really good sketches here, Jo!

Thanks, Regina. That means a lot to me as you draw soooo well. I just have to keep working at it so it will someday be a fun habit and not so much like homework. Ha.
