Sketches Hunt 269, Ps-full

I mentioned that Scavenger Hunt 269 has items that all begin with the letter P.  That makes this a Ps-full Hunt.  I am posting them on Memorial Day.  We were patriotic and went to the ceremony here in Bastrop.  It was very nice, but not a big crowd.

I sketched in the brown paper sketchbook with the Sharpie Liquid Pencil for the first two and with the Prismacolor Premier 08 for the others.

Number 3, paintbrush and Number 4, panic - smoke alarm.

Number 5, palm - my thumb is not deformed.  Sigh....  Number 6 pad of paper - one I make of scrap paper stapled together for note taking and doodling.

Number 7, package - a brown padded envelope we received something in.

I hope you had a peaceful Memorial Day and took some time to remember our fallen heroes.  Many to remember including my brother, Powder, a surviver of WW II,  who died in 1999.  Thank you.

You can read a bit about Powder here on a post about D-Day.

I miss Uncle Powder. I remember being stunned when it occurred to me in my late teens (or maybe even early 20s!) that "Powder" very likely was not his actual name. Heh.

Don't feel bad Joanna, I didn't either until I saw something written about Frank. Maybe letters from him that Mother showed to me. I might have been 12 or so. Hmmmm.

I like the P sketches. I'd like to hear about Uncle Powder.

Heh. I don't feel bad, Mom. The same (not realizing he had a "real" name) goes for Uncle Skinny. :-)

Joanna, for some reason I always knew Skinny had a name, maybe as he was always away and Mom wrote to him?? Certainly no one that knew them well called them by their given names. Hah.
