I sketched at the dining table this morning for Hunt 251. I used the same brown paper sketchbook and the Prismacolor Premier 5, fine line marker/pen.
Number 10, egg carton and Number 11, snack - several have sketched Clementines. They are popular at Christmas. These are the ones called "Cuties".
Number 12, drain rack. The item with the Z is a coozy, koozy to hold a beer or soda. Canned food is on the list, I should have put a can of food there. Or lie and say it was a can. Ha.
Here is another update on the house. They cleaned on the yard today, so you can almost see the front of the house. It has been hidden by bushes and youpon. Starting to look so much better. Hopefully they will finish tomorrow and we will get some photos. They were pushing over the youpon and got two small oak trees. I was so sad, but Joanna suggested we plant a pecan tree there. Sounds like a good idea.
Larry took this of the house from the lake side. From left to right it is the front porch, living, dining, laundry and master. The laundry and master have doors to that porch.
Larry took this egret down at the lake. You can see how low the lake is.
This is looking out from the second bedroom toward the street as a "before photo". I will take the same photo soon after the clearing and cleaning is done.
For my artist link, I like this article on emptyeasel.com "It's Never Too Late to Discover Your Creativity", by Dan Johnson.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Nice sketches, Jo! I like the view of the house. Great that some of the rooms open right onto the porch. How close are you to the lake?
Where's the bar code on that egg carton, Jo? Very cool sketch - lots of detail!
Love your house photos and the egret - wonder if it's the same one from Lake Bastrop? The house looks great!
Hi, Regina. Thank you. The house will look better when they get the yard cleaned! Almost there. That egret looks the same as your painting, doesn't it? :-) The painting is hanging by the window. You can sort of see it in the living room on the last post. Can't see the egret in it though, too far away.
