Lost Pines Golf Photos, Pastel Painting

We actually went to the golf course on Friday and walked nine holes.  It was a lovely morning, not too many folks around.  I mentioned that all eighteen holes are open, but the back nine has some damage.  We still haven't seen that.   Sadly we hear that one million, five hundred thousand loblolly pine trees were lost and it may take fifty years for them to come back.  Wow.

Before the fire, the golf course and the State Park were working on  remodeling the old clubhouse.  The office has been in a manufactured trailer.   The renovation is almost complete.

The clubouse from the fairway on hole number 1.
Friday when we golfed I snapped a photo of an old building that will probably be used for tournaments.  It was remodeled as well.  Here is a photo of the restored look from a bit of a different angle.  The workers have done a good job renewing the buildings and while keeping the "old" look.

The old building, the nineteenth hole, I imagine.

Last summer, I painted a pastel of the building in its deteriorated state.  It is on Colourfix sanded paper, 9 x 12 inches.

I like the old building painting, but it is nice that it was re-done.

I like the painting. Do you still have it or was it lost in the fire?

Bag Blog, thanks. They have really worked at updating the park but keeping the old rock. They have redone cabins. It seems they saved most of the buildings during the fire. I know they lost a few.

Thank you, Joanna. I hadn't thought about that. I have a few of the unframed things with me, but I'm pretty sure I didn't have that one, so it is ashes. Ah well, I can paint another.

Glad you are getting out and having fun! It is sad about all that was lost. It takes the trees so long to grow back. Have a great weekend!

Joan, thank you so much. You have fun on your weekend, too.
