After painting with Regina yesterday and having such a good time, I was on my own today. I worked on the painting from yesterday and it is near completion. It has to set a while, then it will say I need more work or I'm done. Hopefully by tomorrow! I need to get busy on some other things as well.
This afternoon I took a break from paintng and worked on some sketches for Scavenger Hunt 224. I sketched with the Faber-Castell PITT Pen F in the Ultrecht brown paper sketchbook.
Number 3, silent - my phone not in use and Number 4, beep - the timer from the kitchen.
Number 5, click - my mouse and Number 6, window covering - blinds (raised).
We also walked our nine holes of golf this morning. We didn't see the roadrunners, but saw these two little cottontail rabbits. Pretty cute and weren't too afraid of us. It was pretty nice out there but getting hotter every day. Send some rain, please!
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

You're so good to sketch consistently - I need to do that more. It doesn't take long and makes our brain remember what our priorities need to be. :-)
Ditto on the RAIN!!
I agree with Regina - you are amazing with your sketching. The most sketching I do is in church and some people call it doodling.
Regina, you are right. Sketching is like homework for me and with the Hunts I feel guilty if I don't do any. You sketch quite a bit, right?
Bag Blog, I have always made doodles. Now there are kits to buy to teach you how, called Zentangles. Hmmm.
I agree with other friends, Jo--your delightful sketches are a reminder to all of us to keep up our sketching skills (a reminder I really need--would so much rather play with paints :>). I am looking forward to seeing the completion of the piece you started with Regina and love your newest sunflowers (sad to see the cracks on your other lovely sunflower piece).
Mary, thank you so much. I went and took a look at your exhibit on your blog. The paintings look great there at Paddiwhack. The sunflowers that cracked were an experiment, so don't feel bad. I will keep them in my studio to see if they start falling apart. Ha.
Nice sketches; I really need to get back to doing that.
Helen, thank you. Check out the Scavenger Hunts on wetcanvas.com. It has kept me sketching!
