I am hosting the Hunt. We take turns hosting and making the lists. We put up 26 everyday items to sketch from life in 9 days. You can sketch all or some; sketching to drawing and painting with your choice of media and surface. You can comment or not, although we enjoy the comments. I have been doing it for years now and it keeps me sketching and I have made some great on-line friends. Check it out and join us for some inspiration.
Sketch #7-towel, #8 - soap, #9 - basket, #10 rolled paper. I sketched the towel and cellophane wrapped soap at the hotel. The basket is a shopping bag from Bolivia, tough nylon mesh. We use it to carry our coffee pot, snacks, etc., when we travel. We used them in South America for grocery shopping in the open markets. It has lasted all these years -- more than 15. Really! And, the roll of paper towels for the rolled paper. Sketched on May 5.
(numbered wrong) #11 - vegetable, #12 - potato peeler, #13 - painting on the wall. An interesting peeler that you put on your finger. I haven't used it much. The painting is from Peru, a watercolor, unknown artist. Sketched today.
We walked nine holes of golf this morning before it got hot. It was near 80 by the time we got home about 9:30 a.m. It was cloudy and windy so the breeze made it feel a tad cooler. Nice morning. Our same old, not so good, golf. :)
This is the pond on hole #8. We need rain, look how dry it is. |
The State Park and/or the Golf Course have taken down a bunch of trees. They have lined the cart path with some of the straighter trees. |

Wow. That's some brown grass!
Like the sketch of the painting.
Thanks, Joanna. I like the little painting, too. Guess when I have a whole page of sketches, I should make the photo larger or break them up. Hard to see the cute soap. Ha.
The grass is so dry .. we really get some roll in our shots!
The temps went up here the last few days and the wind is still blowing. I like the sketches too.
Bag Blog, all the wind is amazing. I don't remember it being so bad here. That is one of the things I never liked about our old hometown in New Mexico. Wind and sand! Well, Lubbock, too. Ha. Thanks for the note.
Love your sketches... the immediacy and freshness you get. That bag is one tough bag!
Hi Teresa!!! Yes, the bag is amazing. I have one more and they have outlasted about everything else from South America. They have supported pounds and pounds of stuff as well. Thanks for stopping in and your nice comment!
