This morning I sketched out on the porch again for
Scavenger Hunt 223. It was quick sketching with the regular ball point pen, Pilot, in the Ultrecht sketchbook, letter size with brown paper. It is actually nice to sketch in the larger sketchbook as you can prop it on your knee and rest the hand on it. Doesn't seem to help my sketching, though, does it? I just get in a hurry I suppose. I do think of sketching as homework!
Number 7, something from the room or area you sketch in - the newspapers on a wicker stool. Number 8, something that is stuffed - the cushions on the chair.
Number 9, foot and Number 10, something on the floor that shouldn't be there - the chile seeds from cleaning chile pods, an oak leaf and pine needles. Those are always there!
Last night was the second game of the UT Baseball series with the Aggies. The horns won again, not quite as agonizing as the night before, but still scary as the Longhorns were behind 4 - 0 going into the bottom of the sixth inning. They pulled out a win after tieing it up in that inning and after an hour plus rain delay! The momentum can change so much when the game is delayed so that was worrying as well. But all in all we liked the result! The Horns won the Lonestar State Farm Showdown and clenched the number one seed in the Big 12 tournament. Yay! It also guaranteed them a share of the Big 12 title with the Aggies and if they win tonight, they will hold the championship alone. The team has had a hard time sweeping the three game series this year. Hope they do it tonight! You can see photos on the
official page under Multimedia and Photos (no link for me to provide for the photos) The real showdown story is on
Joanna's Longhorn Baseball Page. The regular season ends tonight for you non baseball fans. Ha. Hopefully we will have the Regionals and go on to the Super Regionals here on the way to the College World Series. Hook 'em Horns!
