I have sketched the wine glass how many times??? It is never the same. Maybe too much imbibing while I sketch, eh?
I worked on a commission I am doing at the studio/gallery today. I was to have it done before we went to San Antonio, but no such luck. One more day, I hope. So to take a break, I painted a quick butterfly on a daisy. I took the photo about three years ago. I was looking for a cactus pear bloom photo today for another commission and found this. It seemed something simple to do to relax. It will be on Jo's Notions, my other blog.

I like the butterfly.
Bag Blog, thanks. I had never done that old standard painting! I enjoyed painting it.
I like the butterfly too.
And, yeah...go ahead and blame the wine glass variability on the imbibing. We'll all buy that one!
Thank you, Joanna. I will just keep practicing on the old wine glass .... and imbibing. One day it will look OK. :-)
Is there a way to mix pastel w acrylic to bring more bright pigment into it? I can see you are a pastel fan.
It was great to meet ya today at your shop! Either way, looks like you had fun w the painting.

Hi Steve! We had a demo at the Austin Pastel Society a while back .. like a year. Prismacolor was coming out with some new soft pastels and the lady that did the demo mixed them some way. I will look up the info I had. I had forgotten about that! I will get back and post it!
Nice to meet you. More later.
