I noticed that the Grand View will be back on PBS. I enjoy this painting show. You learn about the National Parks and get to see a little plein air painting with Stefan Baumann. Here in Bastrop, it is on Time Warner channel 1542, KLRUC, which some of you may not have. From his
website you can download a free book about painting and go to his blog.
Check out the TV
website and watch the show if you get a chance. If you can't watch the show, you can see some
short videos on YouTube.
And, for UT Baseball, the season opened today. Wow! It was a beautiful 80 degrees F at the Disch and the Longhorns won over Maryland 8 - 0. The new guys and the old ones looked great. What a way to start off the season.

Taylor Jungmann pitched the complete game. |
You can read the story here on
Texas Sports.
Joanna will have her story up soon. This is from Joanna's Twitter feed:
Jungmann had complete game shut-out for Texas w/ 9 Ks, 1 BB, 5 hits, on 95 pitches (my unofficial numbers). Nice!

Finished my story. I got caught up watching the FIU game and dawdled a bit longer than I should have.
Had a great time at the game!
Verification word: bewarp
Hmmm...I like it!
Thanks, Joanna. The game was great. I stayed up late working on my page and reading tweets. Looked like the Aggies, LSU and TX softball all won. So bewarp!
Jo - I was not aware of Stefan Baumann and I've applied to recieve the pdf book.....thanks. This is vry timely because we are going to Germany this summer and I going to start studying landscape in March until we go.....
Azul, the free videos on YouTube show almost as much as the TV shows, as they talk for half the show about the parks. It is soothing and nice to watch. I also learn a bit. :)
