facebook or not

Alyson B. Stanfield has a good post about facebook and social media.  I totally agree.   It is not a good idea to rely on facebook for your art.   facebook controls how my page there looks, who sees it, etc.  My blog and my website are what I want folks to see and in the format I choose, for everyone to see.

I encourage other artists to have a blog .. hey, it is free.  You can set it up to look just like a website and people can interact and post.  There are several free website servers as well.  I have had my website for many years now and it is easy to take care of.  (Right, Joanna?)  I have mine on aplus.net  They have nice support, I think in Canada, with headquarters in Florida.

Hope to see you in this blogosphere.

Totally agree with you. Love having the full control of both my blog and website.

Sheona, thank you. I love your new "Agape Touch".

I agree. I use my blog more than my website because I have more control there. On the website I'm somewhat limited but not as much as on facebook.

Helen, thanks. I have really enjoyed blogging as I never kept a journal and I have been good at this! I also do my own website and like that, too. Thanks for stopping by.

I agree, Jo - Facebook is good for some things, but I do like being about to control the look of my pages.

It seems that people love FB or are somewhat indifferent. I'm the latter. Blogging takes up enough time and energy and is more worthwhile. My blog publishes to my HomePage on FB and that's all I really want from FB.
