Paint Around Demonstration and Photos

At the Austin Pastel Society meeting last Sunday, January 24, we had a rotating artist demo or paint around. Regina Burchett, Johanne Morin, Debra Richardson , Mike Etie, and John Bittick were the artists painting in a circle. They each started a painting and then after 12 minutes moved the next artists painting to his/her easel and work on it for 12 minutes. The artists ended up at their original painting and finished it up. The finished paintings were great. We auctioned them and ended up with $220 for the Austin Pastel Society scholarship fund.

It is so much fun to see the artists painting furiously trying to meet the deadline and have beautiful results. Each artist employs different techniques and style to the painting.

Wow! What a cool event. Thanks for the great photos. I felt I was there peeking over someone's shoulders.
