Turtle Photo and Colored Pencil Idea

The weather here has been so beautiful. Just awesome, as they say. (Don't ask me who "they" are.) So we went to the golf course and hit the ball around.

You can see how beautiful the day was.

On hole number 8 we ran into our old turtle friend. I have posted many photos of turtles. If you ever want to paint or draw one, I would be glad to send you a larger photo.

They are working on some sort of electrical rewiring at the course. I thought the guy down in the ditch with just his head sticking out was great. I wonder why the trench has to be that deep. Hmm.

I haven't put up an artist link for a while so I thought of Leslie D'Allesandro Hawes. She is fantastic with colored pencil and has a new blog just dedicated to her art. She is generous with her information and has quite a few "how to" posts. Go check it out and tell her "hi" from me. She lived in Bastrop and now is hanging out in Arizona. She drew many fairies and wrote a book about fairies, so we called her the fairy lady at the Gallery here. She has a great touch with pencils. I'm sure I've told you about her before, but needs a repeat today.

It has been great weather here. The leaves have been beautiful, but they will all be gone soon.

Great photos, Jo!! I love the cabin photo. And yes, Leslie is amazing in her colored pencil work.

I'm jealous of your nice weather. We've been having showers and dismal looking skies. Thanks for the link to Leslie's work!

Bag Blog, You can see we don't have much color in our fall this year. Hope your good weather lasts a while.

Regina, Thank you. The cabin is a pump house I think, but could be painted as a cabin, eh?

Joan, we do have very pleasant winters here, therefore, we are here. :) Hope you get some sunshine, too.

Jo: Neat shot of the turtle, they do like to get some sun.
