A couple of sketches for Scavenger Hunt 155 that just ended. I didn't get them posted yet, but will do so after I finish here. It is the last day and the new Hunt starts today. I am hosting. It will be Joan Tavolott's birthday tomorrow (Happy Birthday, Joan!) and Jeanne Grant has taken part in every Hunt so I chose all items that start with the letter "J". Should be fun. Check out Hunt 156 and join in.
Number 14, tired, a little nap during football!
Number 15 - floral, number 16 - yellow and number 17 - appliance. That looks weird, but it is a continuous line (without lifting the pen) drawing of the electric can opener. These were done with a Micron 05 pen in the traveling sketchbook.
We went to dinner yesterday in "E - Town" and liked the decorations at the Texas Roadhouse. It was fun and the food was great. No photos of us, sigh.....
The antelope and they also had the mounted fish draped up, but I didn't get those on "film". Hope your Thanksgiving was great, too. We have been enjoying the visit with David's family. Our favorite grandkids you know!
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

that hubbie looks tired but content
Hi there, Azul. We have been contented with family and too much food and football. Ha.
At least Gene lies down when he "rests". I sometimes think Bill will break his neck. He sits in his recliner but his head is way over the side because he leans his arm on the side table. I'd get a photo but he would kill me. He usually is only wearing some shorts (not shorts like underwear but outdoor shorts) and no shirt. He doesn't want anyone to see him.
Jeanne, thanks for coming by.
Jo - Thanks so much for remembering my birthday! This is a great "tired" sketch of Gene. I love the photos of the restaurant!
Good little sketches there, Jo! Especially the flowers. Glad you're having a nice visit with family - have a safe trip back!
Jo: Neat sketch of Gene, nothing like a football rest. I love the mounts with the Santa hats.
I like the continuous line drawing. It's always fun to add a little challenge to your sketches.
Joan, you are welcome. Hope you had fun today. Thanks.
Regina, thank you. We leave tomorrow, mid day more or less. One last lunch with Cole, grandson, in Louisville before we fly out. Said good by to the rest tonight.
Sheila, thank you. I should have sat a little closer and made the sketch bigger, but you know me. I am the lazy sketcher! :)
fishing guy, Gene doesn't usually watch Pro football, so he had his fill along with all the college ball, too. Guess that prompted a little extra nap-time. :)
Nice sketch of Jean. Wonderful Xmas decoration. We did not go into downtown hotel in Bangkok for Turkey this year. Live was too hectic and tired. We just settled with the roast chicken from the food shop near our home. I am glad you had a great Thanks giving get together.
