We ended up on a quick unscheduled trip to Arizona to see Gene's brother so I have not had access to a computer for posting. Bummer. I did manage a few sketches in my regular sketchbook with a Micron 05 pen and added a little bit of colored pencil to one of them. I am the host of Scavenger Hunt 147, so it was inconvenient to be away from the computer. I hope they forgive me, they can't fire me can they?
Number 1, metal. There were so many metal things in Roger's back yard that I did several metal objects. There was a burner for a big cooking pot with the tank of butane that looked interesting. Then the metal clothesline with the chain link fence behind it. There was also a metal table frame with a metal basket sitting on it. There were more, but those just about filled the page.
Number 2, something starting with the letter "P". Roger had some dry chili peppers so I sketched the peppers.
On the way back in the car I worked on a zentangle while we listened to a book and then tried to capture the layers of clouds. It is hard to get straight lines in a moving car.
I will be checking your blogs and commenting later. I have a lot to catch up on. I will also post some great photos.
We didn't have an internet connection in the hotel on Friday night on the way. Roger's Verizon wireless was not working. We did have the iPhone for e-mail, but I couldn't figure out how to post on wetcanvas, so I just didn't post .. a weekend off!
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

I like the zentangle - I'm a doodler from way back.
Bag Blog, yes, thanks. The doodles are great fun. Little did we know they would get fancy names and you can now buy kits to do them with. Ha.
Zentangle? Oh, my.
Joanna, Zentangle is right. Do you need a kit? You always have made great Zentangles. :)
Jo - I never heard of a Zentangle, now I'll have to go look it up. Is the "kit" a computer program?
I love your clouds - very nice! And I liked the color in your peppers too!
Hi Regina, I heard about Zentangles a few months ago. The kits are a sketchbook and pens or some such. I didn't look at it very well. Joanna used to do them on graph paper when she was a kid in school. Some very elaborate ones. I just always doodle designs. Too bad we didn't make kits, eh? Or any of us...
Regina, I forgot to say thank you on the sketches. You know I am lazy when coloring with colored pencils. I wish I could be more relaxed with them, I love the results, but I get so bored just coloring. I know you find it relaxing. Sigh......
