I did a few more sketches for Scavenger Hunt 145. These were done in the 7 x 10 inch sketchbook with a Micron 05 pen. It took just a few minutes each, freehand drawing. I sketch freehand to try to improve my "eye", to see the lines and shapes and put them down quickly and accurately. It works the best when I am interested in the sketches and subject. As those of you that read my blog all the time know, sketching is not my favorite art passtime.
Number 7, geographical, Gene's iPhone (connected for charging) has our Google maps and more geographical help. Number 8, hollow or handle - my thermos coffee cup is hollow and has a handle. It is not this tall and skinny. A pitiful sketch.
Number 9, ice cream, substitute of yogurt. Mom Frances had about ten small containers of yogurt in her fridge .. they bring her a snack every night which she doesn't eat. I should have made a pyramid, eh? She doesn't eat between meals on her own. If we bring something she will eat it, but doesn't do it on her own. She still accepts the snack in the hopes her visitors will eat it, I suppose, as it is "her" yogurt. Number 10, jogging or exercise shoes. Gene's shoes he was wearing.
I could not post these sketches on wetcanvas.com, I'm not sure why. When we get to the house this next week, I will update all the software I can on Gene's computer and see if it helps. Maybe he is due for a new computer for Christmas!
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Jo: You always make some really neat sketches.
Stop by and see my Moon shot.
Hi fishing guy! Thanks, I will go have a look. Sharing Gene's computer so not looking at the blogs as much. :)
ooooooo can I have his old one? lol
Jeanne, hi there. Maybe so .. we have sort of a grave yard of computers at home. The one I carry around has the best games but is not wireless. The one before has great sound for iTunes. Each one has its good points. So hard to part with them. Ha.
I like the tennis shoes best - very good job!! And always an inspiration to spend a minimum of 30 minutes a day on what we love doing.
What does one do with old computers? I wish there was an easy way to delete all the info on there in a definitive way, so you could donate them...
Hi there, Regina. Thank you. I always say that sketches/paintings come out better if you like or know what you are drawing/painting. Does that mean I like shoes or just Gene's shoes? Ha.
Apple takes some old computers, I'm not sure if they are recycled in use or just parts. Interesting. It is hard to discard them. I like something from each one. Sigh....
