When we got to Mom Frances' place today (she is in assisted living), they were playing Bingo. They were almost finished but we sat down and I sketched. One of the items on
Scavenger Hunt 141 was a kitchen chair. These chairs they use in the dining room are pretty close to Early American kitchen chairs. I usually play Bingo with them, but never play to win. They win a quarter for each game and fifty cents for the blackout. I'm pretty sure it would not be appreciated if I won!

This was about a 10 - 15 minute sketch, so not too bad. Micron 05 pen in the 8 x 10 inch sketchbook. I don't know how that big man sits on that scooter chair without sliding off. Oh, and Mom Frances won one game. Yes!
Also wanted to add my blogger for the day, daughter, Joanna, has some butterfly photos that are just wonderful. Look at her
JoJo's Photobox. That brings to mind, son, Larry. He has some new family photos up as well at
Larry Castillo Photography. Not our family.

Nice sketch, Mom.
As for the butterflies: I got lucky. There were at least 15 of 'em darting about the lantana that day.
Joanna, thanks. They are all a little bit squatty.... I just loved the butterflies and the yellow and purple are so nice together.
Good sketch, Jo: I was anxious about the man in the scooter, you've captured his precarious position so perfectly! This would make a fun full-sized painting!
Jo: You have been doing some neat sketches.
Susan, thank you. One of these days, I will do more people. Need to practice.
fishing guy, thanks. I am back to a steady internet, I'll be by to see your photos!
This is such a fun sketch of family times together!!!
Hi Joan, it is always nice to see Gene's mom. She takes parts in most of the activities, so we join her when there.
