No art, but scroll down, I sometimes post more than once a day.
It was a double header today with UT Longhorns and the University of Illinois-Chicago. The Horns won both games! Way to go! It was 59 degrees, but up in the stands it is easily 15 degrees colder with the shade and wind that whips through there as it was whipping on the field, too. It is interesting to see new fans come in that probably have not sat in the stadium before. Some arrived in shorts or just short sleeved t-shirts and slacks. They soon move to the outfield in the sun! Wind blowing into the field so no homeruns in such weather. We were all bundled up and didn't get too cold. Below are a few photos. You can read the interesting review on Joanna's blog and see the official story on the Longhorn page. Hopefully the sun will be a little stronger tomorrow. Sue arrives from Michigan so I'm not sure if we will go to the game or just to the airport. See how the weather is. It should be nice this week for our painting excursions. She will be leaving freezing weather in Michigan, so should enjoy it here!
This is a little blurry and in the shade but has a little action. Not bad with my Casio Exilim and being so far away. (This camera is small, easy to use and comes on quickly. I take photos out the car window and it has to be on in a couple of seconds or I don't get a photo. Great for that. The batteries also last through a couple of hundred photos or more depending on how long I keep it on between and for movies. This is my third one and I love them. I have the same batteries as when I started, too. I think 2003 was the first one and it still works but is only 3.2 mega pixels. The one I have now is 7.2 mega pixels. The one in the link is 10 mega pixels, guess it is time to upgrade again! I also closed the middle one in the tailgate of the pickup and cracked the viewing window. It still works if you don't need to see what you are filming. Ha.)
Score from the first game. UIC 1 - Horns 10
Second game. UIC 1 - Horns 3 You have to be quick to catch the fireworks. You have to almost miss the last play to be focused on the scoreboard. I missed the first ones! They also shoot off some during the National Anthem and we were outside just across from the scoreboard. Wow are they loud when you are right under them!
