The Hunt goes South, South America, that is. I was looking for items to sketch for
Scavenger Hunt 107 and by coincidence the items I picked were all from South America. One item was a bottle. I have sketched many wine bottles and decided on a different one from Peru. They sold, and probably still do, Pisco in black bottles with Inca designs on them. We have several. As for copper, I used one of my copper canisters from Chile and for brass a little clock from Chile with lapiz azuli stones in the face. All unusual for here in Texas.

This was done with a Micron 05 pen in a 7 x 10 inch sketchbook, full page. It took about 25-30 minutes. For anyone new to my blog, I sketch freehand as quickly as possible. I try to see things and put down a sure line. I hope this helps my perspective in painting and help me to paint accurately, but freely. You can see more about
why I do the Scavenger Hunts here.
