Michigan stay, Sketch

We are in Michigan and have had a whirlwind day. Always happens with Sue around. Ha. We got here on Wednesday evening and Sue was delayed in her arrival, so we played nine holes of golf at Beeches Golf Club. Links style and very nice. We dined at The Fish Tale Pub and Grille - 38 North Shore Drive, 269.637.5123, on the non-smoking deck and had a very enjoyable dinner.

Yesterday, Sue came and picked me up and we went to Saugatuck to do our art thing.

We walked, talked and sketched. Turns out my sketch was #1 something that floats for Scavenger Hunt 42. Micron 05 pen in a Chronicle sketchbook that Sue gave me in 2003. It has a place for a sketch and notes. Perfect for traveling. Has four colored pencils on the front in a little case.

Mostly talked, of course. A latte at a place overlooking the harbor. Gene says latte in French means "you paid too much for your coffee." Ah well. We met up with Gene and Sue's mom in the afternoon and decided to eat at Marro's in Saugatuck. David was in Grand Rapids so he drove down and joined us for dinner. Sue's brother is the head chef and WOW what a dinner. It is Italian with flair. One dish was stuffed morrell mushrooms. The best dinner we can remember, ever, and we eat out a lot!!

A couple of photos from South Haven.

The sky was hazy and you could hardly see the horizon. Looked like the boats were floating in the sky.

The Horns play Brown tonight at 7 Central Time for the Regionals. They play at the Round Rock Express Stadium. Hook-em!

Sorry we can't be there, but hey, our granddaughter, Christy, is graduating from high school in the morning. Go, Christy!! We have our priorities right!

So, I am even more behind in this blogging world.
