She is seven years my senior, if I am allowed to say that and not give away her age. :) So I was always the pest in her world. When she was in high school, she had to take me along at times. It was her responsibility to get me off to school in the mornings. Very irritating as I wore braids and hated breakfast foods. I wanted coffee and toast or left overs from last nights dinner. I was very messy (still am) and she was very neat. So....
At this hour of the morning I couldn't find a photo of Barbara when she was little, so settled on this photo of part of the family at the ranch. I just love what our Mom wrote on the back.
Happy Birthday, Barbara!

Jo,
I guess calling one's younger sibling a 'pest' comes with the territory.
I now delight in mentioning that I am still the younger sister.
The photo is priceless. Your Mom's handwriting is beautiful.
She included the critters names, too. Your love of nature could be her fault...

Hi Leslie,
Yes, I am the spoiled one. Heh, heh. My Mom wrote to the radio stations and drew pictures of the cows hating their music, etc. She drew on scraps of paper, never did a formal drawing that I know of.
My sis and I are good friends ... now. :)

Huh. Until I noticed the "1962" thing, I thought that was me and David with you instead of Margie and Jerry. The photo's too small (even when viewed alone) to see the details. I suppose I actually was with you...but just barely, eh? Heh heh.
Heh, heh, Joanna. I just love that Mom had to point out that Pete was the dog and Nieto was the horse. :)
