I assume that most cities have an Art in Public Places program. Here is one spot to make you smile in Austin. It has been up for years. We would drive under this overpass for trains on Lamar Boulevard and wonder what these blue panels were. For weather? Water? (It's near Town Lake) Communicating? Traffic? Well, Joanna investigated a while back and it is a project from Art in Public Places. Hmmmm.
It is called
Moments, by Carl Trominski. Installed in 2003. From there you can check out more art in Austin.
Today I thought of getting a couple of snapshots at the las
t second, sorry they are lopsided. :)

We drove across the bridge on 360 over Town Lake. The colors are great. When downloading there was the surprise of the antenna topper showing so well. Ha.

Jo - are you getting caught by the bad weather in Texas? I've seen some pictures of it and it doesn't look pleasant.
Katherine, Thanks for thinking of us. We had 1.5 inches of rain the other morning in the wee hours. Lots of trees down in the area, but we came through fine at our house. The deaths and tornados were at least 400 miles from here.
Hope you are well, too. I like your latest sketches, the one of Sutton Bank especially. Julie Oakley is amazing, huh?
Thanks again,
Jo
