Longhorns 4 - Washington State Cougars 2, UT Baseball

The game today was a winner! Texas had some great plays and close calls. Kyle Russell's throw in from right field for a double play was super! Chais Fuller was great. And on and on. You can read about it on the Texas Official Home Page. Joanna didn't go but listened and put the highlights on her page, much more exciting. It was drizzling when the game started and the crowd moved up under the roof. It stayed cloudy and hovered around 65 degrees. Tomorrow is supposed to be very windy. About 4, there was an exodus of football fans going to watch the first practice that was open to the public. Can't believe they would leave a real game to go watch practice. Hmmmm.

Preston Clark hit a home run over the Green Monster in center field. So pretty to see. Only the 31st player to do that. Wow! Here he is, about to hit it (the white blur is the ball). Then running the bases and coming to the dugout. Pretty cool. Too bad, the photo of the curtain call was too blurry to post. Not used to my new camera yet. Pretty nifty it is! Movies can be as long as you have memory and they play back on the computer with a much larger image.
