We went to the Dry Ditch Art Sale. It was a very small affair. About 30 booths. A wide variety of items. Handmade jewelry, paintings, wood carvings, photos, etc. It was in a small area so was a little crowded with about 100 people there. We went early in case of rain, but so far .. no rain today.
I did a sketch of one of the bridges at the river walk at Dry Ditch for the scavenger hunt. I didn't take a sketchbook so we went to the art supply store on Bullard. They have a nice selection of supplies. I got a small Strathmore recycled paper Sketchbook, 3.5 x 5 inches, 60 lb., acid free. It seems to have a nice finish. I don't like their regular pastel paper. It has a heavy grid and is too slick to hold much pastel. I also bought a Pigma Micron 05 Brown sketch pen and a Pigma Brush Pen, sepia color. I used the brown Micron for the sketch. Nice pen.

Nice sketch. I'm impressed with the amount of money those folks in Silver City have spent making that dry ditch look attractive and inviting!
It is amazing. The walk goes for 10 blocks or so. Three bridges, I think. Too bad I didn't take a photo of the booths. They were up on the left from the photo I put here. Ah, me.
