Dead Flies

Today was rainy so I stayed in, except I had to go rescue Gene on his bike ride, he was rained on and cold. It was about 63 degrees Fahrenheit for the high today. This afternoon I sketched the dreaded flies for the Scavenger Hunt. Gene had noticed them yesterday and didn't throw them away, nice to save them to sketch. I think .. saving dead flies. Oooooeeee. The one on the faucet looked alive, but it was dead. Weird. I then worked on the Val Verde painting. It is coming along. I worked on the fountain. Need to adjust the lights and darks some more and work on the archways, to make the fountain stand out more. Didn't spend too much time on art today.

The Val Verde is looking pretty good. I wasn't happy with the perspective of the base in the earlier post but you've got it more in control, now. The water looks cool.

Thanks, it is coming along. I didn't work on it today. I sketched for the wetcanvas scavenger hunt and we golfed. It was a beautiful day.

I Love the flies hee-hee!! Looks like those scavenger hunts over at Wet Canvas are getting pretty interesting. I'm really not kidding about the dead flies, I'm a big fan of unusual subject matter. Thanks for giving me a smile!

Chuck, thanks for the comment. I'm certainly glad dead flies make someone smile. Tee, hee back at you. The hunt list had toilets as well, but I didn't get to mine before #3 closed. We saw a home driveway decorated with toilets. The one by the mailbox had a girl made of dry cholla cactus sitting on it. She was sporting a bikini, sun glasses and a drink in her hand. Then there were 50 or so down the driveway, white, pastel colors, wooden seats, etc. Strange. I'll post a pic for you. :)
