Well, here is the rainbow work. It doesn't look too bad in these small photos, but the one of the close up is more how it looks real size. My critic, Gene, and I decided that it just looks dirty, not misty. So, for the time being, I'm just painting the Ladrones with no rainbow. I received some good advice and had some practice at it, so I will try to do another rainbow painting while we are in New Mexico after the show and we get settled in Silver City.
Now I'm off to work on getting ready to travel. I still need to package the prints, make tags, inventory sheets, pack my studio stuff, etc. Gene framed Wee Powwow Dancer today and took apart another painting for me to use the mat and frame for the Ladrones painting. Joanna will take a photo of it on Saturday before we frame it.
Saturday is the "Patriotic Festival", well the Fourth of July, for Bastrop. We will be celebrating the birthday of our daughter, Joanna, and the birthday of our country. Pretty neat, huh?
Later,
Jo
