I sketched a collection of items rescued from or after the big fire of 2011. This is in the Conda sketchbook, large copy paper size of plain paper. I sketched with a Pentel RSVP ballpoint pen. It is interesting that it made the lines fuzzy, combination of paper and pen I suppose.
For Scavenger Hunt from Life 202 https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-202-oct-12-oct-25.9351/Number 1 collection - some of the remnants that were rescued after the fire in 2011. Cups, bowls, bottle, figurine, bell and rock. (This will double for Inktober 11 as rescue - from the fire.)
I'm not sure why we kept these shreds of our life. Do they keep the memories going? Memories of life or the fire?? Hmmm. It is interesting to see that most of the "survivors" are pottery. It was fired before I imagine. All this is pottery except the rock. There was some iron or metal things left, like an iron skillet/dutch oven. A couple of artworks made of railroad spikes are also around. The mailbox is iron so it is out front. You can search in the search box at the top of my page for Bastrop Fire and see more of the results.
Off for my respite day. What will I sketch? Come back and find out. Oh you can join in on the Scavenger Hunt. I am hosting this Hunt. See you there???
