I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Disappearing Pear
Here is a great painting video by Duane Keiser. He is the first daily painter or close to it. The first one I knew about anyway. Have fun with this. :)

I'm Not Lost - Baseball calls!
It has been a hectic week. UT Baseball is amazing. The Longhorns are hosting the Regional and it has been all day at Disch Falk Field since Friday and tomorrow is the championship game against the Yellow Flashes of Kent State. Whew! The Horns gave us a fright by loosing Saturday to Kent State, so they had to win two games today against the Texas State Bobcats and Kent State, yet again. You can read about it on Joanna's Longhorn Baseball Page and follow live action on the NCAA Regionals page. They have live scoring and some live video on the NCAA website.
I'll be back. I have sketches, photos and paintings to show you, but I'm plumb tuckered out. See you soon....
You can also check out some of my buddies on the links on the right. :)

Painting and Sketching Today
After painting with Regina yesterday and having such a good time, I was on my own today. I worked on the painting from yesterday and it is near completion. It has to set a while, then it will say I need more work or I'm done. Hopefully by tomorrow! I need to get busy on some other things as well.
This afternoon I took a break from paintng and worked on some sketches for Scavenger Hunt 224. I sketched with the Faber-Castell PITT Pen F in the Ultrecht brown paper sketchbook.
Number 3, silent - my phone not in use and Number 4, beep - the timer from the kitchen.
Number 5, click - my mouse and Number 6, window covering - blinds (raised).
We also walked our nine holes of golf this morning. We didn't see the roadrunners, but saw these two little cottontail rabbits. Pretty cute and weren't too afraid of us. It was pretty nice out there but getting hotter every day. Send some rain, please!
